General Information
When you use our website, personal data about you is collected. This can happen when you independently enter data, such as your email address. Our system also automatically collects data about you, for example, through your visit to our website. This occurs regardless of the device or software you use to access our website.
Any data entry on your part on our website is voluntary; you will not suffer any disadvantage for not providing your data. However, without certain data, we cannot offer you services or enter into contracts.
On this website, users' personal data is only collected within the framework of the current data protection legislation, particularly the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The technical terms used in this text are explained in Art. 4 of the GDPR.
Data processing is permitted under the GDPR, especially in three cases:
According to Arts. 6, para. 1, lit. a, and 7 of the GDPR, when you have given your consent for us to process your data; in each case, we will inform you beforehand in this privacy statement and, at the time of giving your consent, in accordance with Art. 4, no. 11 of the GDPR, about what and under what circumstances we process your data.
According to Art. 6, para. 1, lit. b of the GDPR, when processing your personal data is necessary for the formation, conclusion, or execution of a contractual relationship.
According to Art. 6, para. 1, lit. f of the GDPR, when, after a weighing of interests, processing is necessary to protect our legitimate interests; this includes, in particular, our interests in analyzing, optimizing, and securing our website offer, which includes, among other things, an analysis of user behavior, the creation of profiles for advertising purposes, the storage of access data, and the use of third-party providers.
Usage Data and Cookies
Furthermore, we collect usage data (e.g., website visits, interest in products) to enable the user to use and bill for the services on our website. We only combine usage data if and to the extent necessary for billing purposes. Otherwise, we only create usage data in a pseudonymized form, and only if you have not objected to this. You can send your objection at any time to the address provided in the legal notice or to the responsible party mentioned in this privacy statement.
The legal basis for this data processing is, on the one hand, our legitimate interests according to Art. 6, para. 1, lit. f of the GDPR in the analysis of the website and its use, and, if applicable, also the legal permission to store data in the context of the formation of a contractual relationship according to Art. 6, para. 1, lit. b of the GDPR.
Additionally, our provider stores, every time you use this website, information in so-called server log files, which are automatically transmitted by your browser. These are:
Your IP address (anonymized)
Browser type and version
Host name
Time of the visit
The page from which you visited our site
Name of the requested page
Exact time of the request, and
The amount of data transferred.
This data is used solely for statistical purposes and does not allow us to identify you as a user.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies within the framework of our legitimate interest in offering a technically flawless online service and its economical and efficient design, according to Art. 6, para. 1, lit. f of the GDPR, to make our offer more usable, effective, and secure. Cookies are text files that are stored on your computer and store certain data about your user behavior on our site, allowing, for example, services to be offered to you based on your previous use. These can be "session cookies," which are automatically deleted at the end of your visit to our website. There are also cookies that are stored permanently on your computer unless you delete them. This allows us to recognize your browser the next time you visit our website and offer you services according to your previous use.
Your browser allows you to prevent the use of cookies in general or in specific cases. Refer to your browser's help/settings for more information. Blocking cookies may limit the functionality of our website and other sites you visit.
You can permanently prevent the storage of cookies in your browser by downloading and installing a plugin.
Responsibility for Links
My offer contains links to third-party external websites over whose content I have no influence. Therefore, I cannot assume any responsibility for this external content. The respective provider or operator is always responsible for the content of the linked pages. The linked pages were checked for possible legal violations at the time of linking. Illegal content was not detected at the time of linking.
However, continuous monitoring of the content of the linked pages is not reasonable without concrete indications of a legal violation. If legal violations become known, I will remove such links immediately.
Social Media Plugins and Pages
Social media plugins generally cause each visitor to a page to be immediately recorded by these services with their IP address and their browsing behavior to be registered. This can happen even if the button is not clicked.
To prevent this, I use the Shariff method. With this method, direct contact between the social network and you only occurs when you click the corresponding share button. If you are already logged in to a social network, this happens on Facebook without an additional window. On Twitter, a pop-up window appears where the tweet's text can be edited.
Share Buttons on Facebook and Twitter
We use, within the framework of our legitimate interest in offering a technically flawless online service and its economical and efficient design, according to Art. 6, para. 1, lit. f of the GDPR, plugins from the social networks Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, California 94025, USA, and Twitter Inc., 795 Folsom Street, Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. However, with the Shariff method, Facebook and Twitter only know your IP address and your visit to my website when you click the "share" button. If you use the sharing function while logged in to Facebook or Twitter, Facebook or Twitter can assign the use to your user account.
Your data will be transferred to the USA; however, Facebook and Twitter are registered with the Privacy Shield and are obligated to comply with EU data protection standards.
We have no knowledge or control over the possible collection and use of your data by Facebook. You can find more information in Facebook's privacy statement at http://de-de.facebook.com/policy.php or Twitter's at https://twitter.com/privacy?lang=de.
My Social Media Pages on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube
Links
My page uses links to our presences on social media networks Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram (address indicated above). These are regular links. Only when you click on the link will you be redirected to the respective pages. The social networks will then know that you have also visited my page.
Your data will be transferred to the USA; all providers are registered with the Privacy Shield and are obligated to comply with EU data protection standards. You can find more information about your rights at the link mentioned above.
YouTube
In the framework of my legitimate interest in offering a technically flawless online service and its economical and efficient design, according to Art. 6, para. 1, lit. f of the GDPR, I use the provider YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA, represented by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Usually, when you access a page with embedded videos, your IP address is sent to YouTube, and cookies are installed on your computer. However, we have integrated our YouTube videos with enhanced privacy mode (in this case, YouTube still contacts Google's Double Click service, but according to Google's privacy statement, no personal data is evaluated). As a result, YouTube does not store information about visitors unless they watch the video. If you click on the video, your IP address will be sent to YouTube, and YouTube will know that you have watched the video. If you are logged in to YouTube, this information will also be associated with your user account (you can avoid this by logging out of YouTube before accessing the video).
YouTube is registered with the Privacy Shield and is obligated to comply with EU data protection standards.
Use of Social Media Profiles
We maintain profiles (pages) within social media networks and platforms to communicate with active users and interested parties on those networks and to inform them about our services. When accessing the respective networks and platforms, the terms and conditions and data processing policies of their respective operators apply.
Unless otherwise stated in our privacy statement, we process users' data whenever they communicate with us on social media networks and platforms, for example, by posting on our profiles or sending us messages.

We no longer need the personal data for processing purposes, but you require the data for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims;
You have objected to the processing pursuant to Art. 21, para. 1 of the GDPR, pending verification of whether the legitimate grounds of the controller override yours.

You have the right to receive the personal data concerning you, which you have provided to us, in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, and you have the right to transmit those data to another controller without hindrance from us if:

You have the right to object to the processing of personal data concerning you for scientific or historical research purposes, or statistical purposes pursuant to Art. 89, para. 1 of the GDPR, on grounds relating to your particular situation, unless the processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out for reasons of public interest.

Right to Lodge a Complaint with a Supervisory Authority
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence, place of work, or place of the alleged infringement if you consider that the processing of personal data concerning you infringes the GDPR.
